By paying attention to these parts of your mortgage email newsletter,
you will improve your open rates and maximize your conversions.


Item 1 – Your
From Line


Your
from line should have a name your recipients will recognize. I also
recommend adding your web address & telephone number, so that
your newsletter subscribers have
your contact information without having to open the email message
.

A mistake
I see some mortgage professionals making is constantly changing their
from  line or using one that people do not recognize
.
This mistake will lead to fewer people opening your mortgage email
newsletter because they have no idea who sent it. If people are
familiar with your name, use it instead of your company’s name. They
will have ample opportunity to read your company’s name once they open
your email.

Item 2 – Your
Subject Line


Your
mortgage email newsletter’s subject line should start off with the
title of your newsletter and contain a headline that accurately
describes the contents of that particular issue.

(ex., [Luxury Home News] 5
Tips for Buying our 1st Luxury Home
).

The first 35 characters of
your subject line should (a) identify your mortgage newsletter and (b)
contain enough headline information to compel people to open it.
